American Gangster

I did some recording on this album with Pharrell and Chad of The Neptunes.  This was my first time working with them, and it was fun to be able to experience their process.  The songs were both singles, called ‘Blue Magic’ and ‘I Know’.  Duro also mixed more than half the album, so I was assisting those mixes.  This is one of my favorite Jay-Z albums, because it as a very concise sound and theme.  I’ve always said, the best albums have one consistent vibe interleaved through all the tracks.  This is a great example of that.
